What Is the Face Deep Lift?

How the Deep Plane Face Lift Works

Under general anesthesia, incisions are placed in natural lines around the ear and hairline. The dissection proceeds deep to the SMAS and facial retaining ligaments — releasing the zygomatic, masseteric, and mandibular ligaments that hold the descended facial tissue in its aged position.

With ligaments released, the entire deep facial complex is repositioned superiorly and posteriorly to a youthful position. Skin is then draped over the repositioned structure without tension — preventing the telltale signs of a traditional pull-and-tighten approach. The result is a genuinely rejuvenated face rather than a tightened one.
